Index Fund

One fund that holds a whole market.

In plain language

Instead of picking companies, you buy a fund that tracks a broad list of them. Fees are typically low and you own a slice of everything in it.

Why it matters

Ownership doesn't require stock picking. This is the unglamorous default.

Put it to work

Own more. Owe less.
